Where do I find Duty and Tariff costs?
How to find out what my Duties and Tariffs are for your products.
Understanding Duties and Tariffs on US Shipments
This is a complex topic—especially following the recent additional tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on shipments bound for the U.S. Between February and April 2025, new tariffs were introduced that may still be in effect.
To determine the duties and tariffs for your product, follow these steps:
🔍 Step 1: Identify the HS (HTS) Code
You will first need to know your product’s HS Code (also known as the HTS Code in the U.S.).
🌐 Step 2: Use the Official Website for the Country
Once you have the code, go to the appropriate government site for your destination country:
For other countries, you’ll need to use their official customs or trade websites.
🧾 Step 3: Look Up the HS Code
Enter your HS Code into the search box. If it’s valid, you’ll see the applicable duty rate(s).
For U.S. Lookups:
- You may see a small "1/" next to the duty percentage in the "General" column.
- Hover over this number—it will show a Section 301 reference code.
- Look up that secondary code to find the Section 301 Tariff applicable to your product.
Add the Duty Rate + Section 301 Tariff Rate together for the total.
