## "Too much inventory" error message explained

**Why You're Seeing the "Too Much Inventory" Error on Amazon**

The reason you're receiving the **"Too Much Inventory for this ASIN in Fulfillment Centers"** error message when creating a shipment is due to **Amazon reintroducing Restock Limits** on a **per-ASIN basis**—similar to the restrictions implemented during the 2020–2021 pandemic.

Although there hasn’t been a formal announcement, many sellers began encountering shipment blocks as early as **April 2025**. These limits are **not based on the inventory in your individual account**, but rather on the **total inventory for that ASIN across all Amazon sellers**.

Typically, Amazon is capping inventory to approximately **90 days of supply per ASIN**, which may prevent you from sending in new units even if your personal inventory levels are low.
