# What is Freight Assist Fee?

## This article explains the Freight Assist Fee that will be introduced in June 2025.

As you know, SKUdrop gives you the freedom to use your own freight forwarder when storing your goods with us in China, a level of flexibility that’s rare in our space. When you choose to do so, our team still supports your outbound operations by:

* Preparing detailed packing lists
* Liaising directly with your freight forwarder
* Coordinating driver schedules and site access
* Managing LCL & FCL loading onsite and with accompanying documentation

These are intensive tasks we’ve proudly supported, even though they weren’t part of our original service plan. The **Freight Assist Fee** will be a per-CBM charge [(rates schedule attached)](https://drive.google.com/file/d/114jEdy_KiIFiXjSZtVJETCyTweuc3E6_/view?usp=sharing), that helps cover these additional operational activities.

Please note: **this fee only applies when using external freight services**. If you’re using SKUdrop’s export shipping services, **no Freight Assist Fee will be charged**, as our internal systems are designed to handle these tasks automatically.
