## What is a Commercial Invoice

**Understanding the Commercial Invoice and Its Role in Your Shipment**

The **Commercial Invoice** is a key document used to determine the **total per unit cost** of your product(s). This value is used to calculate **U.S. Duties and Tariffs**, based on the **HS Code** you’ve provided.

### 📄 What to Include:

* **Description** of goods
* **Quantity**
* **Per unit price**
* **Total value (excluding shipping)**
* **Terms of sale (e.g., FOB, CIF)**
* **Seller and buyer names and addresses**

> 🔁 If you have **multiple supplier invoices for the same product**, you can scan them into **one document** and upload that single file.

### ⚠️ Important:

The **total product cost (excluding shipping)** on your commercial invoice should **match** the **per unit price** you entered in the **“Supplier Unit Price”** field when creating your incoming shipment.

This document is essential for **customs clearance** and ensures that your shipment complies with international trade regulations.
