# If my commercial invoice from the supplier is for the whole order of 100 cartons but if I'm only sending 20 cartons, do I need to get an invoice for 20 cartons from my supplier?

## Commercial Invoice Requirements for Partial Shipments

Normally, it's best practice to provide a **commercial invoice that matches the exact quantity of products** being shipped. However, with the **SKUdrop system**, this is **not strictly necessary**.

Our system is designed to **extract the per-unit price** from the **invoice for your full order**, even if you're only sending a portion of the goods (e.g., 10 cartons out of 55).

As long as the **per-unit price is clearly visible**, we can accurately calculate the value of the shipment and process it accordingly for customs and billing.

> ✅ That said, if your supplier is able to provide a separate invoice for the specific quantity being shipped, it's still a helpful and clean approach—but not required when using SKUdrop.

If you need help verifying your invoice or have any questions, feel free to reach out to **support@skudrop.com**.

The commercial invoice should show:

* The **description** of goods,
* **Quantity** purchased,
* **Per unit price**,
* **Total value** (excluding shipping),
* **Terms of sale**,
* And **seller and buyer names and addresses**.

This ensures that the declared value aligns with what’s actually being shipped, which is essential for customs clearance and accurate calculation of duties and tariffs.
